Dorothy Goyns was a 20th-century South African painter, active primarily in the mid-to-late 1900s. She is widely recognized as a "listed artist" in South African art circles. Her most significant contribution to the art community was founding the Paint & Palette Group in 1973 in Edenvale, Gauteng. What began as a small circle of friends meeting to paint and share knowledge grew into one of the largest social art organizations in the region. Original oil painting framed in a mid-century frame.
