It’s a hybrid piece, merging the lower section of a "Canterbury" with the muti-tiered display shelves of a "whatnot". The tiers are supported by elegant turned upright support columns. The "Canterbury" base consists of divided compartments, originally designed for storing sheet music, magazines or records. Raised on turned kegs with small brass castors. Circa late md-Victorian era. Please note: the back left leg was replaced with an aftermarket turned leg resembling the original. Second shelf has wood split, and general age related wear consistent with age. Dimensions: 110cm (h) x 40cm x 67.5cm
