Circa mid-to-late 19th century. Eastlake style, characteristics of the Victorian era, particularly around the 1880's. The chairs feature a sturdy wooden frame and is upholstered with a needlepoint fabric (front fabric is the original upholstery, with excessive wear). Designed as a "lawn" or "campaign" arm chair, it is foldable. Padded arm rests. Beautiful carved frame in fanastic condition for its age. The backside upholstery was later done, not its original.
