Matthew Henry (1662-1714): An English Presbyterian minister and nonconformist, Henry was a prolific writer and devoted student of the Bible. He began working on his commentary in 1704. Henry died in 1714, having completed the commentary through the book of Acts. The remaining books (Romans through Revelation) were compiled and completed by thirteen of his nonconformist colleagues, using his extensive notes and writings. The work was originally published as "Exposition of the Old and New Testaments" in six volumes between 1708 and 1710. The commentary provides a detailed, paragraph-by-paragraph or section-by-section study of the Bible, offering insights into each passage. This lot includes 5 volumes.
