"Banana" rocking chairs are a distinct mid-century modern staple, prized by collectors for their sculptural, organic curves. Unlike traditional rocking chairs that look like a standard chair slapped onto two rails, the banana chair integrates the seat, back, and arms into one continuous, fluid "C" or "U" shape—much like the fruit it's named after. While many are "unattributed" (mass-produced in Denmark during the 1950s and 60s), famous designers like Hans Wegner and Arnold Madsen toyed with similar organic, curved forms that influenced the style. Both chairs are sturdy and strong, upholstered in a brown satin feel material. Dimensions: 89cm (h) x 67cm (w)
