Raffles armchair, a Dutch or British colonial furniture piece from the 19th century. Hardwood with turned legs, paneled back with genuine leather seat. The design is believed to have been named after Sir Stamford Raffles, the British statesman who founded modern Singapore. Chair is in good condition for its age.
