Antique cast iron blacksmiths melting pot and ladle, widely used by blacksmiths for melting and pouring of low-temperature metals like lead, pewter and zinc for casting bullets, fishing weights etc. The ladle's shape is designed to easily scoop and pour molten material. Manufactured by T&C Clark & Co as imprinted on the bottom. The company was founded in Wolverhampton, England in 1795 by Thomas and Charles Clark. They were pioneers in manufacturing enamelled cast ironware, taking out a patent in 1839 to guarantee products.
