The Bleeding Edge Goths (BeGoths) line was produced by Bleeding Edge starting in 2003 and is now retired. These dolls have a dedicated, international adult collector base due to their unique aesthetic, based on classic goth style and characters like Annabelle Lee, who is named after the poem by Edgar Allan Poe. Annabelle Lee is from Series 5 (2006). Since the line is retired and dolls had limited production runs, Series 5 dolls are considered rare and are highly desirable. Annabelle Lee herself is one of the most popular characters in the line. These dolls were often imported in limited numbers to South Africa when they were first released. Finding them locally now is difficult. A variant version of the doll exists, this varian features completely different outfit that is a solid black floral overlay with nurnout velvet and a red lining underneath and mathing hair ribbons.
