Vintage Viners of Sheffield "Alpha Plate" candelabra produced by the renowned British company, Viners Ltd. Founded in 1901 by Adolphe Viener and his sons, the company grew and became a leading manufacturer, even earning a Royal Warrant from King George V in the 1930s. "Alpha Plate" was a specific line of high-quality electroplated silverware produced by Viners. The "Alpha" trademark was originally owned by Harrison Brothers & Howson and was acquired by Viners around 1925, who used it until at least 1974.
