This is a 19th century reproduction of a 16 century original attributed to the renowned Rouen Faience make Masseot Abaquesne. The flask is decorated with hand-painted "grotesque" style ornamentation, featuring blue and green scrolling flowers, vines and figures, a style inspired by ancient Roman frescoes.
