The bronze sculpture represents a street urchin, with an "against the grain attitude" and became a symbol for the Provo movement in the 1960's. Known as "Het Lieverdje" (The Little Darling), created by the Dutch artist Carel Kneulman. The original statue is located in Amsterdam. It was made in 1960 and was a gift from a cigarette company to the city of Amsterdam. Dimensions: 20cm (h) with wood plinth. Bronze figure only: 16cm (h)
