This is a rare, Victorian-era mechanical food chopper manufactured by Lovelock of London. Unlike standard screw-propeller grinders, this "masticator" features a series of rotating internal blades designed to tear and mince food (particularly tougher cuts of meat) rather than just extruding it. Heavy-duty cast iron with a dark, aged patina and a wooden handle grip. The item appears to be in solid antique condition with a rich, authentic surface oxidation (patina). The mechanical crank and internal blades appear intact, and the latch mechanism remains functional. Dimensions: 16.5cm (l) x 18cm (width) x 16cm (h)
