This is a heavy-duty, industrial-grade cast iron mangle (or clothes wringer) manufactured by Smith & Paget. These machines were the workhorses of Victorian and Edwardian laundry rooms, used to squeeze excess water out of wet linens or to press them flat. Typical of the era, the cast iron frame features decorative scrollwork and a prominent Crown Trade Mark emblem on the side panels. The piece appears to be in excellent aesthetic condition, with a clean, dark finish that highlights the embossed lettering and textures. While it serves as a stunning piece of industrial decor today, its structural integrity and the presence of the original gear assembly suggest it was built to last for centuries. Dimensions: 90cm (l) x 145cm (w) x 50cm (w)
