This is a traditional folk-style hunting knife, often referred to in Germanic cultures as a Trachtenmesser (a knife worn with traditional costume) or a Jagdnicker. The most striking feature is the handle, which is crafted from a preserved natural deer hoof and lower leg, retaining the original fur and dewclaws. The piece shows authentic signs of age, including darkening of the blade steel and some wear to the fur. It is a classic example of "curiosity" militaria or hunting memorabilia. Dimensions: 30.5cm (l)
