A two-piece set of iconic South African functional art designed by artist Carrol Boyes. The small bowl features Boyes' signature "Man" design with sculpted human figures wrapping around the outer wall to support the vessel. Accompanying the piece is an organic, fluidly shaped pewter coaster with studded stud accent detailing and a scrolled handle terminal. Both pieces bear the impressed designer mark C. BOYES. Both pieces display general surface wear, scratches, and light oxidation typical of pre-owned pewter. The bowl's dark interior coating shows noticeable chipping, flaking, and loss of finish along the inner rim and interior surface. The coaster exhibits minor surface scuffs and subtle tarnishing to the metal. Stamped clearly to the base/underside of each piece. Dimensions:
