An early patinated bronze sculpture by noted South African wildlife artist Keith Calder, depicting a bird resting atop a textured nest base. Created as part of his early "Eromel Bronze Collection," the bird figure lifts cleanly from the nest structure. Marked on the underside of the upper figure reading "EROMEL BRONZE COLLECTION BY K. CALDER 89". Good vintage condition with light, natural surface wear and subtle rubbing to the bronze patina consistent with age. The two component pieces sit together neatly as intended. Protective felt remains intact on the underside of the base.
