A significant example of vintage automobilia, this 2-gallon Castrol motor oil tin retains much of its original, characterful green paint and embossed branding. These large-format tins were standard equipment in garages and workshops during the mid-20th century, used for bulk oil storage and dispensing. This piece comes from a private collection of transport memorabilia and has likely seen heavy industrial use. The tin exhibits a substantial amount of wear consistent with age and practical workshop use, including scratches, heavy scuffs, significant paint loss, and areas of rust pitting, particularly on the bottom seams and the corners. However, the large, central embossed "Castrol" logo remains clearly legible. The lower section retains the embossed text.
