An exceptional late Victorian oil lamp featuring a brass reservoir fitted with a Sherwood's Limited burner and "Sherwood's Patent Extinguisher Safety Burner" mechanism. The piece exhibits fine craftsmanship with a striking cranberry/pink cut-glass stem section and lower glass accent above a heavily cast ornate brass plinth base with scroll feet. Dating to the late 19th to early 20th century, this piece reflects classic British lighting design of the period and makes for a distinguished accent or collector's display piece. Overall good antique condition with age-appropriate wear and patina across all brass elements. The cut cranberry glass body remains intact with bright color and crisp faceting.
