This classic Adler Model 7 antique thrust-action typewriter features a black frame with gold lettering, mounted on its original wooden base with a fitted wooden cover and locking key. Produced by the German industrial pioneer Adlerwerke vorm. Heinrich Kleyer AG in Frankfurt am Main, the Model 7 was introduced in 1900 based on Wellington Parker Kidder's thrust-action "Empire" design. Known for its visible typing bar system and build quality, it became one of Europe’s most iconic and successful early 20th-century typewriters. Accompanied by original instruction booklets and period literature, this lot represents a complete collector's set of early European mechanical engineering.
The typewriter displays age-appropriate wear, surface patina, and minor discoloration across the mechanism and paper materials, with all parts intact and preserved in vintage pre-owned condition.
