This striking cold-cast resin sculpture with a bronze-toned coating, titled "The Sower" ("Die Saaier"), was designed by acclaimed South African sculptor Phil Potgieter for Protea Art on behalf of The Bible Society. Standing atop a base meticulously shaped like an open Bible, the figure dynamically captures the biblical allegory of sowing seeds. Measuring 26cm (h) x 16cm x 11cm, the piece exhibits minor surface wear and small blemishes typical of age, but remains in very good vintage condition overall. The original manufacturer's label is preserved on the green felt underside, confirming its authenticity and direct provenance.
