This architectural feature is associated with the Church of Saint-Gervais-Saint-Protais near Château de Falaise, birthplace of William the Conqueror. Pencil signed Christopher Hughes "Falaise" in the lower corner. Presented in a rustic painted wooden frame. The reverse retains fragments of Illustrated London News pages dated August 11, 1944.
