This striking antique brass planter (jardinière) features an intricate high-relief embossed band of blooming roses and foliage encircling the upper rim, characteristic of late 19th to early 20th-century Art Nouveau metalwork. During the Art Nouveau and Victorian eras, decorative brass repoussé and relief jardinières were sought-after interior showpieces used to display house plants and floral arrangements in stylish homes. The vessel displays a rich, authentic aged patina and warm golden undertones, highlighting the fine detail of the floral craftsmanship.
It features a finished, smooth lower body and an inner rim band reflecting the embossed rose motif. Measuring 25cm in height with a 26cm diameter.
