This striking modernist carved wooden sculpture depicts a fluid, stylized contorted or seated figure in a contemplative pose. Smoothly carved with sinuous organic lines and an abstract minimalist form, the piece showcases rich natural wood grain with a warm polished finish. Accentuated with a stamped white metal band applied around the upper arm area, this sculpture reflects mid-to-late 20th-century African or contemporary folk art influences focusing on movement, posture, and introspective form. Dimensions: 40.5cm h x 37cm w

Overall very good condition. The wood exhibits a smooth finish with lovely natural grain variations. Sturdy structural integrity throughout.
