An unusual mid-20th-century silver-plated tankard featuring a tactile shagreen (stingray/shark skin) wrapped body and a carved horn handle. The base is stamped with maker's mark initials "CW" alongside "S.P. ON C.", indicating silver plate over copper construction. Combining elements of campaign ware and traditional barware design, this distinct vessel makes a striking addition to any barware or silver collection. Shows age-appropriate wear and character throughout. Natural tarnish, darkening, and rubbing to the silver plating on the top rim, lower foot rim, and silver mounts. The shagreen wrap is intact with subtle surface discoloration consistent with age. Horn handle remains securely attached with nice natural grain detail. Stamped marks to base remain clearly legible. Dimensions: 13 cm H
