This set of four impressive architectural columns, standing at 121cm, features a classic turned design with heavy square bases and caps, consistent with late 19th or early 20th-century staircase construction. Carved from solid heavy wood with prominent medullary ray graining, these were designed as structural newel posts or grand balusters for a substantial railing system. Their height also makes them versatile for use as supports for high consoles, pedestals, or bespoke interior pilasters. Condition: The posts are structurally sound and heavy, showing a vintage aged patina with minor surface scuffs, small drying shakes (natural wood separations), and remnants of original joinery marks at the ends. Not sure what wood grain this is, but definitely NOT pine. Dimensions: 121cm (l) x 8cm x 5cm
