This is a beautiful example of a traditional Mancala (often known as Oware or Kalah) folding game board, hand-carved from a rich, deep-toned wood. The exterior features a charming primitive-style engraving depicting a village scene with traditional huts and figures, while the interior reveals twelve smoothly hollowed playing pits. It comes complete with its original organic playing seeds, likely Grey Nickernuts, which add a wonderful tactile and authentic element to the set.
