This beautiful ceramic planter comes from the sought-after Portmeirion "Birds of Britain" collection, designed by Susan Williams-Ellis in 1978 and based on the historical 1794 illustrations by E. Donovan. The exterior features two detailed, vibrant illustrations of the "Rose Coloured Starling" (Sturnus Roseus) perched on branches against a glossy cream background. The piece shows prominent, authentic all-over crazing to the glaze on both the body and the base, adding to its charming vintage character, while remaining structurally sound with no visible chips or cracks.
