This lot features two heavy cast bronze openwork-style commemorative medallions modeled after traditional East Asian cash coinage. One piece presents a detailed architectural gate facade on one side with prominent relief characters on the reverse, while the second medallion showcases classical script along the outer rim surrounding a central square aperture. Both medallions display fine cast relief detailing, raised characters, and a rich, dark aged patina with characteristic verdigris oxidation in the recessed areas. Each medallion measures approximately 12 cm in diameter.
