This charming 25cm diameter Delft ceramic wall plate, titled "De Barbier" (The Barber), is part of the Traditional Dutch Tradesmen series produced by Oude Molen Fabriek B.V. in Holland. The front features a detailed, classic blue and white transferware scene depicting a historic barber at work, framed by an ornate floral border. The reverse side includes the maker's backstamp, the series number (Serie No. 1437), and a humorous English poetic description: "The barber shaves and cuts in fashionable style but beware of his anger if his razor slips." The item is in very good vintage condition with no visible cracks or major chips.
