The back panel includes a small diamond-shaped bevelled mirror. The cupboard door is fitted with a painting panel depicting an elderly woman sewing, signed in the lower right corner and opens to reveal three internal shelves featuring the same textured lacquered designs. The painting panel appears to have been fitted later, the inside showing visible signs of how it was fitted.
