This vintage marine navigation lantern is crafted from copper and brass, featuring a heavy-gauge casing, chimney cap with a hinged carry handle, and a deep emerald-green Fresnel glass lens. In maritime tradition established during the mid-to-late 19th century under standard international navigation rules, vessels were required to display a green light on the starboard (right) side to indicate direction of travel and prevent collisions at sea.
