This authentic vintage transport crate features bilingual stenciling in Afrikaans and English, reading "EIERKAS / 10 DOS EIERS MET SORG" on one side and "EGG BOX / 10 DOZ EGGS WITH CARE" on the other. Historically used across South African agricultural supply chains in the mid-20th century, these heavy-duty wooden crates were designed to safely carry up to 10 dozen eggs between farms and local markets. Built with durable timber slatted construction, iron corner banding, a hinged lid, and original interior pulp egg trays, it offers a wonderful piece of agricultural history suitable as a rustic display piece or storage chest.
