This striking pair of vintage, hand-carved African hardwood sculptures depicts two stylized figures standing on integral bases: a male figure balancing a large vessel or basket on his head, and a female figure captured in profile. Standing at an impressive 84cm in height, both statues showcase rich, dark wood graining with deeply textured, chiseled detailing defining their features and clothing.
