The interior opens via a long piano hinge to reveal a main deep storage compartment alongside a removable top tray for smaller personal items. Structurally sound and solid overall. The top surface displays visible age-related wear, including surface craquelure/checking to the finish on the left panel, light surface scratches, scuffs, and minor historic timber shrinkage line wear. The interior remains clean and functional with modern chain supports and interior tray intact. Minor edge wear and light scuffing around the plinth base and feet consistent with age and use.
