A charming set of five hand-painted wooden Matryoshka nesting dolls designed in the likeness of classic soldier nutcrackers. Each figure features traditional festive details, including moustaches, white beards, gold-tone cockades on military caps, and dark green uniforms. Handcrafted with characterful detail, this whimsical set combines traditional Slavic nesting doll craftsmanship with classic European holiday nutcracker folklore. Good vintage condition overall with light surface wear, minor paint abrasions, and subtle varnish crazing consistent with age and gentle handling. All pieces nest securely inside one another.
