Collectible, and visually striking mid-century modern 1950s Philips desktop valve/tube radio (Model A3 260 36). This specific unit is a rare variant configured specifically for the South African market. It features a beautifully preserved, localized glass tuning dial listing historic regional broadcasting stations, including Pretoria, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth, Kimberley, East London, Pietersburg, Grahamstown, and Pietermaritzburg. The radio features a 1950s streamlined design with its original gold Philips shield emblem, vertical front grille, and five-button piano-key panel. The rear hardboard backplate includes external antenna ports, a local/normal signal switch, and a PU phonograph input for connecting a record player. Not tested.
