The brass plaque on the base of the wood base is engraved with the artist's name "Evelin Stoyanov". Evelin Stoyanov is a Bulgarian-born wildlife artist born in 1962 who has been based in South Africa since 1995. He studied ceramics at a specialized school of fine arts and later attended the Bulgarian Academy of Fine Arts. His professional career as a wildlife artist began in South Africa after being commissioned for a wildlife painting by a local gallery. While he is widely recognized for his wildlife oil paintings, his work also involves exploring form and movement through other media.
