This antique full-size (4/4) violin, measuring 59.5 cm in length, features a finely grained spruce top and a highly figured, two-piece flamed maple back and neck coated in a rich, reddish-brown varnish. Based on its classic construction, stylized F-holes, and distinctive scroll geometry, this instrument is characteristic of the high-quality trade violins produced by skilled luthiers in Germany's famous workshop regions, such as Markneukirchen or Mittenwald, during the late 19th to early 20th centuries. It is offered in as-found, unstrung estate condition, missing its bridge and three strings, with minor surface abrasions. Free of any obvious structural body cracks, it serves as a wonderful candidate for professional setup or restoration by a player or collector.
