This elegant, two-piece vintage ceramic set features a matching hand-painted floral motif in warm, retro autumnal tones of brown, ochre, and cream. The collection consists of a classic handled pitcher/jug alongside a tall, striking twin-handled mantle vase boasting an ornate, wavy flared rim and a tripod-style footed base. Manufactured by the prominent South African pottery studio Faiarte—highly active during the mid-to-late 20th century—the base of the pitcher retains the authentic maker's stamp alongside an impressed mold number. Standing at impressive heights of 35cm for the pitcher and 43cm for the vase, the set presents beautifully with rich underglaze colors and characterful age crazing throughout, though please note a minor, shallow chip on the upper outer rim of the pitcher's spout.
