Originating from the Fujian province of China—most notably the city of Fuzhou, where this intricate art form was popularized in the early to mid-20th century—this piece is meticulously crafted from natural cork and set within a double-sided glass circular frame. The diorama is securely mounted on a dark-lacquered wooden presentation stand flanked by stylized, hand-carved Foo Dog (guardian lion) supports.
