This vintage mid-20th-century serving tray features a classic bohemian aesthetic, expertly crafted from sturdy bamboo poles with a rich, faux-tortoiseshell fire-burned finish. The rectangular tray is designed with elevated, open handles on either end for easy carrying, while the base consists of tightly arranged bamboo slats reinforced by decorative, cross-stitched rattan bindings. While pieces like this were widely popular from the 1950s through the 1970s—often imported from East Asia during the height of the mid-century tiki and boho-chic design trends—they were generally produced by artisanal workshops rather than a singular named manufacturer. It is in very good vintage condition with minor surface wear, tight bindings, and a lovely natural patina consistent with age.
