This lot features two intricately hand-carved wooden figurines depicting traditional Chinese figures, likely representing Immortals or deities from folk mythology. One figure is portrayed as a fisherman or traveler carrying a large fish and a staff, while the other is a regal, robed figure—possibly Caishen (the God of Wealth) or an official—holding a ceremonial ruyi scepter. Both pieces exhibit detailed craftsmanship, from the expressive facial features and flowing beards to the decorative patterns on the robes and bases. The wood has a rich, dark polished finish that highlights the grain and the deep relief of the carving style. The figurines are in fairly good vintage condition with visible signs of age. There are noticeable wood splits, through the torso and base of the robed figure and a smaller wood split on the base of the fisherman. Some minor surface scuffs and small chips are present, consistent with age and handling. Dimensions: 31.5cm (h) and 29.5cm (h)
