This unique drinks trolley is designed in the charming likeness of a traditional Roma vardo, a style of horse-drawn wagon that became an iconic symbol of nomadic life in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Expertly constructed with a solid wood frame and wheels complemented by a rich veneer wood roof, the piece features classic scalloped eaves and ornate gothic-style cutouts reminiscent of the "Reading" or "Showman" caravan designs. The trolley is highly functional, featuring a hinged roof that opens to a mirrored interior with glass shelving, a collapsible rear tray, and a steerable front axle. Measuring 77cm (l) x 57cm (w) x 73.5cm (h) (excluding the handle and tray), it is in good vintage condition, showing light age-related wear to the wood finish and minor clouding on the decorative window inserts while remaining structurally sound.
