A charming original botanical watercolor study featuring a bouquet of pink, white, and deep magenta cosmos blossoms with delicate feathery foliage. Signed and dated '93 by artist G. Bekker in the lower right, this larger composition is elegantly mounted with a double matboard surround featuring a forest green inner border and set within a classic molded gilt wooden frame. The painting presents in very good vintage condition with bright colors and no visible foxing on the paper. The matboard and glass are clean, while the gilt wooden frame displays light superficial edge scuffs and minor paint loss along the right side moulding consistent with age. Dimensions: 59.5 cm x 46.5 cm
