This fine framed botanical print depicts Rosa Damascena Celsiana (Rosier de Cels), reproduced after the iconic illustrations of Pierre-Joseph Redouté (1759–1840). Often referred to as the "Raphael of flowers," Redouté was the celebrated botanical painter to the French royal court and Empress Joséphine Bonaparte. His masterwork, Les Roses (1817–1824), remains one of the most famous botanical publications in history, revered for blending scientific accuracy with poetic elegance.

The artwork showcases soft pink and creamy white full-bloom Damask roses surrounded by detailed green foliage and thorny stems set against a muted cream backdrop. Plate inscriptions along the bottom credit Redouté as the painter (P.J. Redouté pinx.), Remond as the printer (Imprimerie de Rémond), and Charlin as the engraver (Charlin sculp.).
