This limited-edition reproduction wall timepiece is a faithful modern revival of Benjamin Franklin's ingenious 1757 three-wheel clock design, produced circa 1970s by renowned London clockmakers Thwaites & Reed. Featuring an openwork frame mounted on a wooden wall bracket, the movement reproduces Franklin's minimal four-hour dial mechanism, where four sets of Roman numerals share a single hand to indicate hours and minutes alongside an upper seconds dial. Complete with an engraved brass plaque confirming its limited edition production run (No. 519 of 1,000), it offers a balance of 18th-century horological design and precision 20th-century British craftsmanship. Overall in good vintage condition. The brass faceplate displays light natural surface patina, minor tarnish, and minor surface marks consistent with age. The openwork frame, gears, and rear pendulum crutch are intact and well-preserved. The hardwood wall bracket shows light scuffing and edge wear from handling and display. Retains its original drive chain, dual counterweights, pendulum bob, and brass edition plaque. Mechanical movement appears complete; operational functionality and timekeeping accuracy are untested. Dimensions: 39cm H x 18cm W x 13cm D (excluding chain and weights)
