While often grouped under the broad trade term "Persian," this hand-knotted piece was crafted by traditional Turkmen weavers in Northern Afghanistan and retailed through Pak Persian Rugs. It features the iconic Filpa (meaning "Elephant Foot") octagonal gül design. Woven with a pure wool pile knot-by-knot on a durable wool foundation, the rug displays a vibrant crimson-red field accented with deep indigo geometric motifs and traditional tree-of-life spandrel fillers. Retaining its original handwritten retailer tag from Pak Persian Rugs, this carpet combines authentic tribal craftsmanship with excellent durability and a soft, full pile underfoot. Overall good pre-owned condition with strong structural integrity and rich dye consistency throughout. The hand-knotted wool pile remains thick, soft, and evenly balanced across the field. Shows light, age-appropriate wear along the selvedge edges and minor fringe softening. Underside features the original handwritten provenance and retail specification tags intact. Dimensions: 290 cm x 202 cm
