Designed by Roger Michell and Helen Cheshire for Lustre Pottery and produced by Carlton Ware in England starting in 1973, this iconic "Walking Ware" duo consists of a creamer and a lidded sugar bowl set on hand-painted feet. Featuring whimsical purple Mary Jane shoes on the jug and green shoes on the sugar pot, these pieces embody the playful Pop Art aesthetic of 1970s British ceramic design. Both pieces retain maker's marks and design copyright stamps on the underside of their feet. Excellent vintage condition with no visible chips, cracks, or restorations.
