The seals feature a distinctive brown, lava glaze, made in Cornwall, England, by Kernewek Pottery of Goonhavern. It typically features a deep, earthy chocolate base. A thicker, cream or white glaze is then "dripped" or poured over the top, which reacts in the kiln to create a bubbly effect. The base features the manufacturer's stamp. Vintage Kernewek Pottery (Cornish for "Cornish") is highly collectible, specifically for its mid-century modern aesthetic and its association with the "honeycomb" or "lava drip" style. No chips or damage. Dimensions: 20cm (l)
