The L.R. Nelson Manufacturing Company was founded by Lewen R. Nelson in Peoria, Illinois, in 1911. The company has a long history of manufacturing irrigation products, dating back to 1906 when they developed their first lawn sprinkler. The Rain Train, a self-propelled traveling sprinkler, became one of their signature products. The body is cast iron, the wheels a durable plastic and comes complete with its sprinkler arms.
